| Lodges-Alpine Hunting Lodge Our purpose built hunting lodge sits right in the middle of our hunting area, near the headwaters of the Rangitikei River and is ideal for both hunters and non-hunters. Located on a sunny knoll and surrounded by stunning has six guest rooms, all with queen size beds and en suite bathrooms. We have a large deck area from where you can spot game, and private Jacuzzi area with a large brick BBQ that can be lit as a fireplace for ambiance when the cooler temperatures pass through. Our lodge is equipped with satellite Internet and a wireless system for guests with laptops, and we also provide a guest computer so you can keep in touch with home. For guests wishing to "kick back" we have an extensive book and DVD library, and we encourage you to kick your shoes off and put your feet up in front of the fire. We have an in house chef who prepares nothing but the best New Zealand cuisine, and a housekeeper to service your rooms and provide a laundry service. We always have team members on hand to offer you assistance with anything, even if it's just to keep non-hunters company or to arrange "outings" to the nearest town. Lodges-Franz Josef (Tahr & Chamois hunting) Our Franz Josef base is at the home of our helicopter pilot and his wife, Brian & Jaque McBride. Brian and Jaque run their home as a "Bed & Breakfast" however during the hunting season it is booked exclusively for our hunting guests. Our private helicopter is even kept on site so we can achieve a "quick start" as soon as the conditions permit for a tahr and chamois hunt. |
